Brent Stanley began his own business in the construction industry in the Saint John area in 1997. By 2003, he saw a need in the area for insulation and so began Huff ‘N Puff as a second division of the company. He put his focus on the business, ensuring he always had top notch customer service. Brent decided in 2020 to take a break from helping people insulate their homes, to spend more time boating on the Belleisle Bay with his wife, Janice, telling jokes, reading local history, eating steak and potatoes or spending time at his trailer with his grandkids. However, before he could do that, he had to ensure his customers past, present and future would still receive top-notch customer service.
In 2002, a young entrepreneur, Mark Hatfield, started a landscaping company in the Kennebecasis Valley; Homestar Inc. By 2003, Mark’s scope of services began growing and he sub-contracted the services of a new local insulation company, Huff ‘N Puff, to work with him on a customer’s home. This began a relationship between Brent and Mark that grew as their business grew over the next 17 years. When Brent decided to send the Big Bad Wolf to a new home, he knew Mark would be the best hands for Huff ‘N Puff’s customers to be in.
In Spring of 2021, Huff ‘N Puff joined the Homestar Group family. With two crews serving southern New Brunswick and hard-working employees, some of which have been with the company over 10 years.
